About the Author/Artist:

Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada, Jason received his first undergraduate degree (English Literature and Fine Arts) from the University of Saskatchewan, his second undergraduate degree (Asian Area Studies) from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, and his master's degree (English Writing) from Swinburne University in Melbourne, Australia.  He also studied languages at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon and the University of Regina in Regina, and received a diploma in Cross Cultural Studies from the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies in Tokyo, Japan.  Having attained a TESOL diploma from Vancouver Community College in Vancouver, he is currently an English instructor at ILSC Education Group in the Pacific Northwest, daily instructing English as a Second Language students in creative writing, art, pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar, etcetera.   

An artist, writer, and poet since his high school years, Jason published his first poem, "Ripples in the Dark", in 1999.  He has since been published over eighty times (see bibliography), including three publications of his art and various works translated into Japanese, Turkish, and Egyptian.  Having completed work on his first fantasy novel, Highwick: The Mage-King and the Thief, Jason is currently writing his second.  He also continues to pursue his art with paintings, etchings, and drawings gracing schools, office buildings, restaurants, and coffee shops as well as private collections across Canada, Germany, France, Egypt, England, and Japan, etcetera.
